Moutardier Campground At Nolin Lake
If you’re looking for a “campground near me” in Kentucky, check out Moutardier Campground at Nolin Lake. A viewer of the Go Together Go Far YouTube channel asked about the best campgrounds near me and the best camping ar Kentucky for families. So we did a little video on it. Moutardier Campground was really special. The campsites where big and the water was very clean. You’ll love it!

The best site so far was two AWESOME campsites at Nolin Lake in Kentucky. We stayed at Moutardier Campground (not the Nolin Lake State Park) and probably had the best two sites on the lake.
When we were there, our family was in our RV/travel trailer. We went with another family that had an AMAZING Kodiak canvas tent. It was a complete glamping tent. I show the set up in the corresponding YouTube video. If you like tent camping, but REALLY like tent glamping, you’ll want to with that. Apologies for the editing of the tent set up. Not my best work.

Nolin Lake
Here is the exact spot where we stayed. It was Loop D, Site D031, and D032. If you want these sites, you may need to book 6 to 12 months out, but it is worth it!
Fun Fact: Per Wikipedia, “Nolin River Lake is a reservoir in Edmonson, Grayson, and Hart counties in Kentucky. It was impounded from the Nolin River by the United States Army Corps of Engineers in 1963.”
Mammoth Cave National Park
These sites are also near Mammoth Cave National Park, which makes for a fantastic day trip. So if you’re into some Mammoth Cave camping, these may be the sites for you.
There are plenty of other great spots, so if you can’t get one of these, don’t worry about it.
